Community Skill Park, Trivandrum

It is a matter of great pleasure to announce that GMR Aero Academy (GMRAA) has been selected as the Operating Partner for Community Skill Park (CSP) in Trivandrum, Kerala. The selection has been done through an open bidding system wherein 8 other Training Providers had submitted their bids. After a detailed evaluation of the technical competence, the selection committee headed by the Principal Secretary, Kerala duly accepted our proposal. Under the scheme, the Govt. of Kerala will provide a campus spreading over 1.5 acres of land with the full infrastructure on a concession basis for a period of 10 years. The Govt. of Kerala will infuse approx. Rs. 10 crores for setting up the facility.

The CSP, an initiative of Govt. of Kerala under the Additional Skill Acquisition Program (ASAP) working on the mission – ‘Skills for better livelihood and a stronger economy’ is strengthening and delivering the best practices to sustain employment for youth. ASAP is extending its services to the public through setting up CSPs in most of the districts to address the increasing unemployment and to tackle the problem of lacking skill, job readiness, etc. among youth by bridging the gap between Government, Industry, and Academia.

GMRAA collaborated with the Govt. of Kerala to train students through the CSP by its pre-established skills development competence. This unique model of CSP will provide a pool of high-quality skilled manpower to adhere to the changing needs of the aviation and affiliated industries.

GMRAA has developed standardised courses based on the market analysis, to support the aviation sector and the related stakeholders with a continual talent supply of well-trained & job-ready candidates. GMRAA will deliver the courses like Customer Service Executive, Basic Fire Fighter Course, and Certification in Retail Management at the newly allotted CSP Transit Campus.

GMRAA announced these courses during the state-level launch by Shri. Pinarayi Vijayan, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Kerala.
